Job Description

On behalf of one of our clients, a Forex broker, we are seeking to recruit a Legal and Compliance Officer to join their team in Limassol

Job Responsibilities

  • Preparation, update and customization of compliance policies and procedures, including the relevant compliance manuals and plans, keeping them in line with regulatory requirements
  • Reviewing all KYC, AML and CFT manuals of the company and making all the changes necessary to ensure effective onboarding and ongoing monitoring of clients, including facilitating the risk profiling of clients prior to onboarding
  • Supporting the company’s customer on-boarding strategy including customer risk profiling and ongoing monitoring
  • Coordinating and managing the regulatory affairs of the company and managing the regulatory relationship between the Company and the Financial Services Authority, the primary regulator of the company
  • Facilitating the ongoing and periodic regulatory reporting including collation of data, analysis and communication of such as may be required from time to time;
  • Preparing compliance reports for the Board of Directors and Senior Management of the company
  • Undertaking regulatory compliance audits and compliance due diligence reviews
  • Providing oversight and support during regulatory examinations
  • Remote consulting and guidance to the client on compliance matters
  • Reviewing compliance risk management and internal controls around the business processes of the client particularly as they relate to the management of compliance risk
  • Managing the company’s whistleblower facility and acting as the company’s Money Laundering Reporting Officer together with preparing and filing the necessary returns required for AML
  • Coordinating the company’s compliance training program and ensuring all relevant staff have been trained accordingly
  • Provision of safe custody services to enable the safe-keeping of all relevant regulatory documents in relation to both compliance and AML matters (such as register of securities, regulatory notices, due-diligence documents, complaints register, signed service level agreements etc.)

Job Requirements

  • University / College Degree in Law, Economics, Finance or any other relevant field
  • At least 2 years of experience in a previous Compliance role within a CIF company
  • Excellent Computer Skills
  • Excellent Communication Skills in both Greek & English (Written & Spoken)
  • Strong Analytical Skills
  • Organized, Diligent, and able to pay attention to Detail
  • Ability to work under Pressure and tight Deadlines
