Accountant in Limassol

Our client is a well-known established international organization operating in the maritime sector, with a strong global presence and decades of industry experience. The Accountant will support the daily financial activities across multiple entities within the Group. This role is well suited to professionals with approximately 2–3 years of accounting experience who are looking to further develop their expertise. The successful candidate will assist the finance team with core accounting and financial processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to relevant regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the preparation and upkeep of financial records and reports.

  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations to ensure accurate ledger reporting.

  • Assist in creating budgets and financial forecasts.

  • Enter data for various financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.

  • Aid in preparing tax documents and ensure timely submission.

  • Provide necessary documentation and support during audits.

  • Take part in month-end and year-end closing procedures.

  • Keep financial files and records organized and up to date.

  • Liaise with vendors and customers regarding billing and payments.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Secondary school certificate with LCC Higher certificate in Accountancy and experience of at least 2 (two) years or University degree in Accountancy or holder of the IAT professional qualification
  • Good communication skills as well the ability to work within a team
  • Very good command of the English language
