Accountant in Limassol (Hybrid)

The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing daily transactions, handling VAT submissions, assisting with monthly and quarterly closings, and supporting management with financial reporting and analysis across a portfolio of companies. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines consistently.

about the role

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage accounting for a portfolio of companies, recording and reconciling all transactions.

  • Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payments to suppliers and customers.

  • Support month-end, quarterly, and year-end closings and reconciliations.

  • Maintain organized financial and accounting records.

  • Liaise with suppliers, auditors, and group companies.

  • Ensure sufficient liquidity to meet operational, CAPEX, and funding needs across the portfolio.

  • Prepare and submit VAT and VIES filings.

  • Assist with provisional tax computations.

  • Prepare and review management accounts.

  • Support the preparation of business plans for group companies.

  • Review audited financial statements and tax computations prior to finalization.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal procedures.

  • Assist with ad hoc reporting and other tasks as required.

basic information:

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g. ACA/ ACCA) will be considered an advantage.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting and VAT.
  • Knowledge of consolidation processes will be considered an advantage.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Experience with accounting software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Effective verbal and written communication with a wide range of individuals.
