  • Working Hours: Monday – Thursday 08:00 – 13:00 & 13:30 – 17:00 and Friday 08:00 -14:00

about the role

RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounting

  • Maintain and update accounting records for a portfolio of clients in various industries.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, bank reconciliations, and general ledger updates.
  • Assist in the preparation of management accounts and VAT submissions.
  • Support auditors during annual audits by providing necessary documentation.

Payroll

  • Prepare and process monthly payroll for local and international clients.
  • Ensure compliance with Cypriot employment and social insurance regulations.
  • Handle PAYE, social insurance, and tax calculations accurately and on time.
  • Maintain employee records and respond to payroll-related inquiries.

General

  • Liaise with clients, auditors, and government authorities (Tax Department, Social Insurance, Registrar).
  • Support the accounting manager and audit team with ad-hoc administrative and financial tasks.

basic information:

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting and/or payroll, ideally within an accounting firm.
  • Excellent knowledge of Sage, Intelisoft, or similar accounting/payroll software.
  • Strong understanding of VAT, PAYE, and social insurance regulations in Cyprus.
  • Good command of Greek and English (both written and spoken).
  • High attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
