Payroll Officer in Limassol

On behalf of our client, a leading and rapidly growing Fintech company, we are seeking a Payroll Officer to join our client’s accounting team during a maternity coverage of 12 months with possibility of renewal to permanent position.

about the role

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process payroll for all employees of the group accurately and timely.
  • Collect from various departments the monthly payroll changes and send them to external payroll providers for payroll calculation.
  • Review payroll calculations from external payroll providers and send any comments prior to final approval.
  • Prepare and distribute direct deposits to employees in certain jurisdictions.
  • Upload payroll batch files to banks for payroll processing.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding payroll processing, including tax regulations, wage and hour laws and benefits administration.
  • Generate payroll reports for Management as needed.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records.
  • Prepare monthly group payroll analysis and reconciliation.
  • Prepare monthly payroll entries to be posted in the Accounting Software.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns.
  • Collaborate with HR department to ensure accurate employee data and compliance with company policies.
  • Assist with other payroll and accounting– related tasks ,as assigned by Group Head of Accounting and Group Accounting Supervisor.

basic information:

REQUIREMENTS

  • BSc in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Knowledge of Cyprus payroll legislation is a must.
  • Strong understanding of payroll principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and oral.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills.

It will be considered as a plus if you have:

  • Proven experience in payroll of multinational groups with more than 150 employees.
  • Knowledge of Estonia or other regions payroll legislation.
