about the role

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee daily production operations, ensuring adherence to production schedules and company standards.
  • Manage and supervise the production team, including training, development, and performance management.
  • Ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of factory machinery, particularly packaging, pasteurization, and other specialized ice cream production equipment.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure quality control and compliance with food safety standards and regulations.
  • Coordinate with the supply chain and logistics teams to manage inventory levels and ensure timely production.
  • Develop and implement strategies for improving efficiency, reducing waste, and increasing overall productivity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any production issues that arise, ensuring minimal disruption to production schedules.
  • Ensure the health and safety of all staff, adhering to factory safety regulations and maintaining a clean, safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with the R&D, quality control, and maintenance teams to ensure product innovation and equipment optimization.
  • Maintain accurate production records and generate regular reports for senior management.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or similar) or equivalent technical background.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management or supervisory role within the food manufacturing industry, preferably in frozen or dairy products.
  • Proven experience with factory machinery such as packaging, pasteurization, and production line equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, quality control standards, and production optimization techniques.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse production team.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting machinery.
  • Proficient in production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
