Our client, a leading IT solutions and services organization in the Eastern Mediterranean region
with offices in Cyprus and Greece is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer in Nicosia (Hybrid) who will be responsible for providing technical services including installations, upgrades and support of business applications, network management and administration, operating systems management and administration, database administration and technical support. You will have the opportunity to expand your knowledge in mission critical infrastructure projects of large organisations.
• University/ college graduate in a Computer Engineering or related field
• CISCO and/or Microsoft Certifications will be considered as an advantage
• Experience of at least 8 years in a similar position and specifically in:
o Designing and implementing infrastructure solutions architectures, to accommodate the customers’ requirements
o Setup, deployment and administration of MS Windows Server
o Deployment and administration of MS Active Directory, DNS
o Setup, deployment and administration of LINUX/ UNIX Operating Systems
o Setup, deployment and administration of multi-vendor Application/ Web Servers, like Apache, Glassfish, MS IIS, etc
o Setup, deployment and configuration of networking equipment (switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers)
o Implementation and administration of multi-vendor virtualization technologies, such as Hyper-V, VMware, or Oracle VM
o Multi-vendor backup solutions
• Good understanding of the high availability, clustering and failover concepts
• Knowledge of Bash/ Shell/ Batch Scripting will be considered as an advantage
• Knowledge of Oracle RDBMS and/ or Oracle Fusion Middleware will be considered as an advantage
