Our client, a successful fintech company based in Limassol, is seeking for a Head of Legal to join their dynamic team in Limassol.
· Draft or improve agreements, contracts and other legal documents and ensure they are aligned with the relevant legislation
· Provide expert and professional legal advice, guidance and support to ensure that the legal and reputational risk faced are identified, reported and mitigated
· Consulting and handling all corporate legal processes
· Conduct legal research on various matters and proactively identify legal risks
· Advise the Company on potential legal risks
· Review any new applicable laws and regulations, and advise how these are affecting the company’s operations
· Implementation of the Internal Regulations and procedures of the Company
· Advise on employment labour law and other legal matters, involving head office as well as global offices
· Providing guidance and training to staff and management on legal and other related matters
· Assisting with general and varied queries affecting the business
· Conduct periodic audits on matters relating to regulatory and employment frameworks
· Carries out any further duties assigned by their line manager
· Report on department activities and performance to the operations manager
· Bachelor’s degree in Law
· 3+ years of experience in a managerial role within the fintech/forex industry
· CySEC Advanced certification and CySEC AML certification will be considered an advantage
· Ability to use independent judgement
· Detailed knowledge of laws and regulations affecting business operations
· Ability to interpret and advice on the application of various laws
· Excellent spoken and written Greek or English communication skills
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality assurance
· Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a dynamic environment
· Strong critical & logical thinking
· Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
· Ability to work under pressure
