about the role

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Gain a deep understanding of business requirements, features, and technical implementations.
  • Devise and execute test cases, while regularly updating project teams on testing progress to unearth software anomalies.
  • Collaborate closely with the development team to analyze and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Design, develop, and execute automation scripts employing testing tools.
  • Detect and scrutinize bugs and errors identified during testing procedures.
  • Document test outcomes for the software development team’s reference.
  • Conduct manual test cases in areas where automation isn’t feasible.
  • Conduct regression testing after bugs have been addressed.
  • Fuel the development process by advocating for efficiency and performance.
  • Provide recommendations to enhance software for an improved user experience.
  • Elevate software delivery and quality throughout the software development life cycle.
  • Validate deployments post-production.
  • Remain current with emerging testing tools and strategies.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Holds a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Boasts a minimum of 2 years of experience in quality assurance and test automation.
  • Demonstrates familiarity with QA methodologies.
  • Proficiency in performance testing, integration testing, and test automation (e.g., Selenium or similar) will be considered an asset.
  • Practical software development experience in any programming language will be a significant advantage.
  • Familiarity with agile software development methodologies and testing protocols.
  • A collaborative team player with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Exhibits a rapid learning curve.
  • Possesses a growth mindset, challenging the status quo to innovate and introduce fresh ideas.
  • Self-motivated and capable of effective self-management, underscored by excellent organizational skills.
  • Can communicate intricate procedures clearly to colleagues.
  • Has an eye for detail and a thirst for delving deeper into data.
